Annual prize distribution ceremony was held at Amity International School, Noida. Principal, Mrs. Mohina Dar welcomed all. The cheif guest for the senior functin was Mr. Sudhir Tailang, cartoonist and for the primary wing was Mr. Sudarshan Banerjee, the CEO of Hutchison Essar Telecom Ltd. and the guest of honour was Ms. Jayshree Sundar, associate director, Lintas. The chairperson Dr. (Mrs) Amita Chauhan proposed the vote of thanks.
The Road Safety Cell organised an exhibition in Cambridge Foundation School, Rajouri Garden on May 3. The children were shown films and enlightened on the road safety rules and regulations by inspector Mr. R.P. Tyagi and sub inspector Mr. Radhey Shyam. Ten stuents were appointed as traffic monitors.
Guru Jaya Ram Rao and Vana Shree Rao gave a scintillating performance of Kuchipudi dance in DAV Public School, Thermal Colony, Panipat under spic macy. Their movements were loaded with ornate and beautiful details that conveyed pure flow of dance.
Brilliant's Convent, Pitampura, along with RWA. Western Enclave, organised 'Swasthya Mela' on May 4 and 5. Dr. S.C. Vats area MLA inaugurated the event in which Dr. Trehan and his team of doctors from Escorts Heart Centre and other reputed doctors from the Max Health INTEL, offered tehir services. Free consultantion and Various tests were done. Various other eminent specialists in the field of vaastu, astrology, anyurveda and homeopathy also provided their services. People participated in blood donation too. Parents and children were also briefed about the importance of vaccination by Dr. Kanvaljeet.
Darshan Education Foundation, Delhi or ganise, an all India work shop for teh teachers and principals of 15 Darshan academies. One of the aims of the workshops was to introduce new teachers to the activity based learning philosophy of the schools. The principals attended a conference with the focus on how to implement a continuous, comprehensive evaluation system that provides a holistic profile of the learner and promotes project-based learning.
BBPS, Pitampura organised its annual book week. A separate day was assigned to each subject. A number of competitions were organised. The judges included Bhishm Sahani, Prof Amitabh Mukherjee, Girija Rani Vyas, Swapna Dutta, Subir Roy and more. Springdales School, Dhaula Kuan, lifted the overall trophy.
